Here's what they're saying about The Verlene Schermer Band:

If you like jazz, if you like a smooth female vocalist enjoying herself with a groovin’ crew, if you can’t keep your feet still when a beat grabs you… The Verlene Schemer Band includes a great team on bass and drums, and the harp dances with the guitar… Mark Feil, Folk Harp Journal

Verlene’s harp playing is...HOLY! that woman's expression is an extreme version of happiness... I loved her driving rhythms...I've never heard such a "pushy" harp. I loved it. Cynthia, fan

I enjoyed your playing and singing and your thoughts behind your songs. Note from a concert goer

You were absolutely enchanting all in black striding on stage with an electric harp at your hip. Inspiring! Aprille, fan

Atrium

Today’s performance with Verlene, Jeff, Preston, and Don was fantastic! …upbeat energy, and a nice combination of vocal and instrumental pieces.  Really great! From the comments book at the Bing Concert Series at StanfordHospital

Your songs express exactly what I, and countless others experienced. I am playing the Peace CD again for the umpteenth time and find new beauty each time. …whole group is outstanding! Ian Myers, jazz trumpeter

More of what they are saying about Verlene Schermer:

Verlene could be described as a "vocational" musician - her calling is so clear and bright. …really beautiful stuff.  Personal, affirmative, brave, witty, and optimistic.  John Lozier, Harping for Harmony

I am very impressed by your music! I find there is a new generation of pop harpists that grow in US and which is very impressing as we don't have such artists here in Europe. Jakez Francois, Camac Harps in France

…warm voice, resonant timbre and irresistible charm…
Elisabeth Hoffmann, Freisinger SZ
