Verlene performs in and around the San Francisco Bay
Area as a solo performer and also with various musical
groups.
She also performs in concert throughout the United States, and in Europe. She is

In 1996, she performed a solo concert at New Pieces in Berkeley, and also for two Bay Area Folk Harp Society concerts -- one in Berkeley, and one in Palo Alto. Reviews of the two Berkeley concerts were published in The Fling. In 1998, Verlene performed in the International Society of Folk Harpers and Craftsmen bi-annual conference in Galveston, Texas using her Triplett Celtic harp, her O'Loughlan cross-strung chromatic harp, and her brand new, bright blue Camac electro-harp. In 2000, Verlene toured the Pacific Northwest with
concerts and workshops in Oregon and Washington,
In 2001, Verlene toured the Pacific Northwest a second time, and toured Europe with harpist Kyle Wohlmut, giving concerts and workshops in the Netherlands and Germany. In 2002, Verlene's touring schedule included Southern California, and Seattle. In 2003, Verlene was a workshop presenter at HarpCon 2003 in Indiana, and toured with a new group called "Call Us Crazy" in Northern California. In 2004, Verlene performed and presented workshops at the Somerset Harp Conference in New Jersey, and was also the featured performer and teacher at regional conferences in Texas and Illinois. In 2005, Verlene toured Europe for a second time, with workshops and concerts in Germany, Austria, and The Netherlands. She also toured with harp colleague, Aryeh Frankfurter twice in the Northwest, and performed and taught workshops at HarpCon 2005 in Montana, and the LePine Harp Retreat in Oregon. In 2006, Verlene toured the Northwest with her sister and Silverwood duo partner, Linnette Bommarito. She also presented workshops and performed at the Somerset San Jose Harp Conference. The Verlene Schermer Band was formed in the spring, and the band performed in the Bing Concert Series at Stanford Hospital, at the Santa Clara Art & Wine Festival, and also at Don Quixote's in Felton.
